Rihanna is currently on her Loud tour which has been known to keep crowds really loud. None louder though than the Dallas show held at the American Airlines Center Friday night (July 8th) which ended in a fiery frenzy. A fire broke out when a light above the R&B singer spontaneously combusted. Never fret this wasn’t the same 80’s outcome of Michael Jackson, Rihanna is ok. It is said that the fire may have been caused by the pyrotechnics, but this wasn’t meant to be a part of the shows grander. The front rows quickly evacuated and moved toward the exists when seeing the R&B singer dressed in a bejeweled yellow gown suddenly flee from the stage.
There were no injuries reported by Dallas Fire Rescue Captain Johnny Bates. Rihanna found a way to truly make light of the situation setting out to reach to her Twitter fans stating: “We set the stage on FYAH tonight!!! LITERALLY!!! I’m so pissed, I was havin so much fun wit yall too!!! I gotta come back man!!” A CBS affiliate noted that the fire may have been started by a chair catching on fire. But whether it was a light or a chair Rihanna is set to blaze the stage again on her loud tour July 11th at the BJCC Arena in Birmingham, Alabama, July 12th at Chastain Park Amphitheater Live Nation in “Hotlanta” Atlanta, Georgia and July 16th at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex in Greensboro North Carolina. Make sure to catch her in a city near you.
